COUNCILMEMBER MONICA WILSON
District 4 · Antioch City Council
Councilmember Monica Wilson is a proven, results-driven leader known for her collaborative approach, transparent decision-making, and commitment to practical solutions that benefit Antioch's families. Now in her fourth term representing District 4, she made history as Antioch's first African American woman elected to the City Council and has delivered meaningful change.
Monica has led on the toughest issues facing Antioch, pushing for police reform and accountability, expanding mental health crisis response teams, advancing real solutions to homelessness, and taking action to protect neighborhoods by banning new liquor stores in overconcentrated areas. When others hesitated, Monica stepped up to lead.
A recognized regional and statewide voice, Monica has been on the frontlines of the fight against human trafficking. In her previous role as Program Manager with Love Never Fails, she helped drive regional methods to combat trafficking while expanding coordinated services for survivors across Contra Costa County. She also worked alongside the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office to help establish the County’s Human Trafficking Task Force, turning advocacy into action.
With more than two decades of experience as a community organizer, nonprofit leader, and public servant, Monica has built a reputation for effective collaboration, transparency, and accountability. She is known for getting results, standing up for working families, and ensuring institutions deliver on their promises. She understands that leadership isn’t about talk — it’s about taking responsibility and delivering real outcomes.
As Antioch faces major challenges, Monica Wilson is focused on what matters: safer neighborhoods, stronger communities, and a city that works for everyone — not just the well-connected.
